The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is committed to do more {for the world} with less {footprint} so we can continue to have places to play. We find value in sharing knowledge and building networks to enhance the industry’s engagement in the clean economy to more effectively manage the changes in our natural environment.

Vision: Our vision is to empower the sport industry to better engage with the circular economy.

Mission: We live by the mission of leading, educating, and inspiring our sport community members to live, work, play, and spectate more sustainably in Australasia.

Since June 2015, SEA has grown to 21 Members (and counting) to represent both Australia and New Zealand in the global conversation. We have formed knowledge and program partnerships with a number of community and expert thought leaders. Extending the knowledge and networks of our members and partners, and improving their level of impact and influence are integral to the movement.

SEA has contributed to The Climate Institute’s Climate Change and Sport Report, attended global alliance meetings, presented at COP21 and the Green Sports Alliance Summit, and facilitated the environmental sustainability trends panel at the 2016 Asia Pacific Venue Industry Congress. SEA is chairing the 2018 Sustainable Innovations in Sport forum (Amsterdam).

We make better choices in operations, partnerships, supplier and other relationships, which reflect the least impact.

We are on the move and in the movement, as without change comes #noplanetnoplay®.

Let’s start with the end. We see our future with the sun shining, the water is clean, the air is fresh, and filled with the smell of fresh cut grass.
