By protecting our {clean} future, we protect our beloved {West Coast} eagles, our Lord’s {cricket ground}, and all {Western} Australians.

We are absolutely thrilled to host the Sports Environment Alliance’s first ever WA #SEAMoreDoMore networking event. 

Deane Pieters, General Manager of Business Strategy, West Coast Eagles Football Club, will open the event, and a panel will be moderated by Dr Sheila N Nguyen, Executive Director, Sports Environment Alliance.  Our esteemed panellists include:

Russell holds a degree in Ecology, a Masters in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in Biodiversity Management. He is passionate about wildlife, recycling and all environmental issues, and is devoted to the welfare of this planet and to the preservation of its ecosystems for future generations.   For more information, read his full bio here.

Deane is General Manager of Business Strategy, West Coast Eagles Football Club.  He has had 23 years of professional sports administration experience and was the recipient of the Australian Sports Medal (2000).  Beyond achieving a number of sporting accolades as an Australian Olympic swimmer and surf life saving champion, he is championing the sport industry’s role in saving the planet.  Under his leadership, the WCE has become one of SEA’s newest members. 

Dorian understands the ins and outs of making a stadium work, and work well.  He is the Operations Manager for Optus Stadium at VenuesLive (Perth, WA).  He has had experience across multiple spaces including Perth Stadium and Perth Arena.  Working with the new Optus Stadium affords him a variety of experience, the latest of which was essentially moving a ‘whole city.’
